The Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad dedicated a long article to the situation of photovoltaics in Spain, including an explanation by Piet Holtrop regarding the wawe of lawsuit against the government and the complaints we filed before the European Commission as volunteer lawyers for the Platform for a New Energy Model.

Spanish newspaper el Economista reports that the European Commission has decided to start an infringement proceeding against Spain and Italy for failing to communicate the measures they intend to take in order to meet the goal that by 2020, 20 percent of the generation electricity from renewable sources.

The article also refers to the proceeding recently opened by the Commission against Spain following the complaint filed by Holtrop S.L.P. in representation of the Platform for a New Energy Model against the new electricity tax contained in Law 15/2012.

In an article published this Monday, Spanish newspaper "elEconomista" explains the decision of the European Commission to open a file  against Spain following the complaint filed by Holtrop S.L.P. in representation of the Platform for a New Energy Model against the  new electricity tax contained in Law 15/2012.

The newspaper “El Economista” wrote about a new publication emitted by the European Commission regarding the route that State members should follow on energy matters, and insists that countries encourage renewables.  They state that due to months of unsettlement in the renewable sector in Brussels, the Commission has assigned three new technical civil servants to exclusively monitor the new energy policies in Spain up close. 

Although Holtrop SLP is not mentioned directly, the Platform for a New Energy Model and their trip to Brussels is mentioned, in which Holtrop SLP also participated.

The website www.tercerainformacion.es published news on APPA and the Platform for a New Energy Model´s trip to Brussels on the 8th and 9th of April to meet with the European Commission and European Parliament in order to complain about the energy model being promoted in Spain.  Holtrop SLP is cited as being the author of these complaints.

Last 28 February 2013 the "Revista Energía El Economista", a digital edition monthly energy magazine of the Spànish Business newspaper El Economista dedicated an in depht article to the multitudinal litigation initiated between autumn 2011 and now, titled: "El sector solar acude en masa a los tribunales". The article puts special focus on our European approach, which has become more and more a mainstream approach in Spain, while we initially were dissidents in Spain. We alway thought that the Pyrenees blocked the view to Europea of a few too many people in Spain.

06 December 2012 El Economista newspaper informs about our visit to Brussels with the New Energy Model Platform (Plataforma por un nuevo modelo Energético) with the title "Reclaman una auditoría al mercado eléctrico". A delegation representing most section of the Spanish civil society and the most relevant sector organisations filed a formal complaint with the European Commission for Spain's breach of  EU law obligations.
